Dear God, open a door for my message, so that I may proclaim the mystery of Christ. I pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Colossians 4:3-4

13 November, 2012

Thousands of devout Catholics and and curious visitors  from as far as Singapore have flocked to the Sime Darby Medical Centre in Subang, Selangor, Malaysia since the news of the apparation spread through digital media such as facebook, blogs and paper media for a glimpse of the silhouette image mysterious apparition believe by Catholics as Blessed Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ,  to pray, sing hymns and light candles.
Reverend Father Simon Labrooy, parish priest of Saint Thomas More Church, Subang Jaya, said to Yahoo News that he praised Sime Darby Medical Centre management for their gracious and respectful manner in handling the matter. Sime Darby Medical Centre has agreed to give the Catholic Church the window panel where the silhouette image was seen in a couple of days to come. It will be taken to Saint Thomas More Church, Subang Jaya before it is sent to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Klang in honour of the Blessed Virgin Mary apparitions in Lourdes, France. It will be handed over to parish priest  of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Rev Father Michael Chua.  The Marian church will be  a more conducive place for prayer and reflection.

In the process of verification of apparitions, the Catholic Church uses a rigorous set of procedures and test by theologians and church authorities. After which the results will requires the approval by the Bishop of the Catholic Church before it is finally accepted for veneration. The Catholic Church has recognised only apparations of Guadalupe, Our Lady of Laus, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, La Salette, Pontmain, Fatima, Beauraing, Banneux, Our Lady of Akita, and Lourdes from hundreds of apparations have been reported through the centuries.

On 11 November, 2012 some witnesses at the site have said they could see second image resembled Jesus Christ on the cruxifix forming on another glass pane below, the first silhouette image panel.

Reverend Father Simon Labrooy, full statement:
"This statement is in regard to the various newspaper reports concerning an image of what some are saying to be that of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Several people (estimated 2,000 on Sunday) have visited the vicinity with some praying privately, some praying in groups and other just curious onlookers. I have consulted with the Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur, Most Rev. Murphy Pakiam, and am pleased to announce the following.

I have met with the Management of Sime Darby Medical Hospital (SDMC) to discuss this matter. The meeting was very productive. Contrary to rumors SDMC has assured us that no attempt to clean the affected image on the glass panel has ever been undertaken nor have they any intention of doing so. The Catholic Church would like to thank SDMC for its cooperation in managing this delicate matter and accommodating the inconveniences to its patients and staff.
The Catholic Church is in agreement with SDMC that the present situation cannot continue as we are concerned of the direct effect this may have on emergency services of SDMC
The Management of SDMC has graciously agreed to hand over the glass panel containing this image and give it to the Catholic Church. SDMC has assued us that professional services will be deployed to ensure that no damage comes to the glass panel on removal and transport. This operation will be closely and jointly supervised officials from the church of by St Thomas More, Subang Jaya.
We assure the community that the image will behandled in the most respectful and sensitive manner. This glass panel will be moved to the Marian Church of Our Lady of Lourdes Klang which will be more conducive for prayer and reflection. Dates for this movement will be announced shortly. I wish to reiterate that this by no means confirms the authenticity of the image as an apparition of Mary. The Catholic Church would withhold official comment until the image has been tested and verified by theologians and church authorities, a process that will take time.
In instances of authoentic appearances of our Blessed Virgin Mary she has always asked us to pray for peace and to seek out her son Jesus Christ."
