Dear God, open a door for my message, so that I may proclaim the mystery of Christ. I pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Colossians 4:3-4

Love and Honor Thy Parents

Ephesians 6:1-4
“Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise),

Wherever you are, this powerful prayer for your parents will give them peace and happiness.
Lord, I surrender to you my family. Lord Jesus, I pray for my parents. Though you blessed them abundantly, today they are in need of your help. Give my parents joy and strength. Fill them with your strengthening presence. Lord, give them real thirst and hunger for the Holy Spirit and for the Word of God. Give them health in spirit, soul and body.
Even though they may feel that all the trouble they took for their children are being wasted, help them to see the great reward waiting for them in Heaven. Help my parents to forgive themselves and forgive everyone else.
Even though as parents they may have failed to fulfil their duites, Lord, set them free from sadness and sorrow, regrets and sense of guilt. Jesus fill them with your Holy Spirit. Thank you Jesus.

Here is a beautiful Prayer of Parents for their children.
O Lord God, who have called us to the state of Holy Matrimony and made our love fruitful, we ardently recommend to your holy protection of our dear children.
Preserve them; make them grow as Jesus did, in grace before God and people. Implant in their hearts so great a love for you that they would prefer death to grievous sin. Teach them to put all their trust in you and to walk warily amidst the temptations of youth. Give them a filial devotion to your Holy Mother, that she may keep them free from sin.
We consecrate to you, O Lord, the children you have given us. If it pleases to call them to follow you more closely, give us enough faith to make the sacrifice of them with our whole hearts. Grant that our sins may not be visited upon them. Look upon our prayers and sacrifices on their behalf, and bless them all their days, so that together with them we may be gathered round your throne in heaven for all eternity. Amen

Colossians 3:20
Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.

Proverbs 20:20
If one curses his father or his mother, his lamp will be put out in utter darkness.

Psalm 22:9
Yet you are he who took me from the womb; you made me trust you at my mother's breasts.

Respect your Parents.-Really a touching story... I cried...
