Prayer for Peace of Mind and Heart

Eternal, Holy God, 

I come to You burdened 

with worries, fears, doubts, and troubles.

Calm and quiet me 

with peace of mind.

Empty me of the anxiety 

that disturbs me, 

of the concerns

that weary my spirit,

and weigh heavy on my heart.

Loosen my grip on the disappointments

and grievances I hold on so tightly.

Release me from the pain of past hurts, 

of present anger and tension,

of future fears.

Sometimes it's to much for me Lord,

too many demands and problems,

too much sadness, suffering, and stress.

Renew me spiritually and emotionally.

Give me new strength, hope and confidence.

Prepare me to meet the constant struggles 

of daily life with a deeper faith

and trust in You. 

Let Your love set me free,

for peace, for joy, for grace, 

for life, for others, forever.

In Jesus' name.

Father, urge us to seek You in our troubles and struggles

Our purpose on this earth is to help others. Whether we struggle to part with our money, or have trouble accepting God’s generous blessing, help us to be focused on You. 

Urge us to seek You in Your Word, and prayerfully consider Jesus’ example on this earth.

You know our heart’s intentions and our struggles. You are the only one equipped to balance and judge, and You consistently say that we are Yours and remind us, through Your Word, of Jesus’ sacrifice for us. Nothing we do or say can add or subtract from His sacrifice… or from who He is. 

Thank You for providing for us, Father. Just the fact that we are skimming over these words is prove that You’ve provided for another day for us. Help us to seek You first in everything, each day.
