Prayer to Saint Peregrine for healing cancer and incurable diseases

O glorious Saint Peregrine, gentle patron of those suffering from cancer and seemingly incurable diseases, hear my emotional and desperate cry today. You intimately know the heavy burden of physical illness and the deep terror it brings to a fragile human heart. 🕯️

As a devoted servant to the Mother of Sorrows, you stood in the terrifying dark night of the soul when your own earthly body failed you. You faced the heartbreaking prospect of losing your leg to a ruthless infection. Yet in your most agonizing hour of pain, you dragged yourself to the foot of the Cross. You poured out your raw fear to our Crucified Lord and experienced the miraculous, gentle touch of His divine healing.

Today I come to you with my own failing health and a profoundly anxious spirit. Sickness has made me terribly weary. Shadows of uncertainty and fear often cloud my daily thoughts. I humbly ask for your powerful intercession before the throne of Almighty God. Please wrap your compassionate prayers around my ailing frame. Beg our loving Jesus to lay His mighty healing hands upon me, just as He reached down from the sacred wood to miraculously restore your afflicted flesh.

I ask you to also guide the minds and hands of the medical professionals treating me. Grant them divine wisdom and tender compassion as they work to restore my ailing body.

I deeply desire the return of my health so I may serve the Lord and my cherished loved ones with a completely renewed spirit. Give me the quiet courage to endure this trial with the profound patience you so beautifully demonstrated. When the physical pain is fierce and the lonely nights feel unbearably long, remind my weeping soul that I am never walking this painful path alone. Help me to perfectly unite my daily tears and bodily sufferings with the agonizing passion of Christ and the pierced heart of Mary.

Saint Peregrine, please plead unceasingly for my complete physical restoration. Renew the vibrant strength in my bones and the unshakable peace in my anxious soul. I surrender my illness entirely to the great Divine Physician and place my absolute trust in His perfectly merciful will.

Amen.

Jesus Healed Many Who Were Sick

Gospel

Mark 1:29-39

And immediately he left the synagogue, and entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. Now Simon's mother-in-law lay sick with a fever, and immediately they told him of her. And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and the fever left her; and she served them. That evening, at sundown, they brought to him all who were sick or possessed with demons. And the whole city was gathered together about the door. And he healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him. And in the morning, a great while before day, he rose and went out to a lonely place, and there he prayed. And Simon and those who were with him pursued him, and they found him and said to him, "Every one is searching for you." And he said to them, "Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also; for that is why I came out." And he went throughout all Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons.

Meditation

Who do you take your troubles to? Jesus' disciples freely brought their troubles to him because they found him ready and able to deal with any difficulty, affliction, or sickness which they encountered. When Simon brought Jesus to his home, his mother-in-law was instantly healed because Jesus heard Simon's prayer. Jerome, an early church bible scholar and translator (c. 347-420), reflects on this passage:

"Can you imagine Jesus standing before your bed and you continue sleeping? It is absurd that you would remain in bed in his presence. Where is Jesus? He is already here offering himself to us. 'In the middle,' he says, 'among you he stands, whom you do not recognize' (Cf. John 1:26) 'The kingdom of God is in your midst' (Mark 1:15). Faith beholds Jesus among us. If we are unable to seize his hand, let us prostrate ourselves at his feet. If we are unable to reach his head, let us wash his feet with our tears. Our repentance is the perfume of the Savior. See how costly is the compassion of the Savior."

Do you allow Jesus to be the Lord and healer in your personal life, family, and community? Approach the Lord with expectant faith. God's healing power restores us not only to health but to active service and care of others. There is no trouble he does not want to help us with and there is no bondage he can't set us free from. Do you take your troubles to him with expectant faith that he will help you?

Prayer for Healing

Loving Father, I come before you trusting in your goodness, kindness and the power of your healing love as I lift up to you my physical need,

Heal me, Lord, Lord, you know all things, you can do all things and I know you love me very much. Only you know what is best for me and what I need in terms of healing.

As I sit before you now lay your hands upon me, touch me, heal me and bring me wholeness of body, mind, emotions and spirit. Let the grace of your divine love and power flow to me right now to reach the inner recesses of my being and spread to the different parts of my body.

Take away any pain or feeling of discomfort. Correct any malfunctioning of my bodily organs and tissues. Melt with the heat of your healing love all abnormal and growths. Arrest the further spreading of those cells and create in me new and healthy cells. Root out all the hurts embedded in my subconscious through the years.

Heal all my feelings of rejection, anger, frustration, aggravation, all painful memories of the past and repercussions of traumatic experiences. As you root out all these hurts, fill that void with your spirit of love, peace and understanding, acceptance, meekness and tenderness, kindness, concern and generosity.

As I completely surrender to you my sickness, deliver me from dwelling on self-pity, fears, anxieties, hopelessness and all negative thoughts, and give me the grace to offer all my pains and sufferings for other suffering people like me, especially those sick , no one to support them and pray for them.

Help me to see the blessings out of each trial to realize each victory from every tear, to see your guiding hand and feel your loving presence in everything that is happening to me, confident that you are totally in control.

Help me to learn lessons from my mistakes of the past, and work on changes in my life and my way of living. And then, dearest Lord, after I have been healed may my life be a witness to your love, peace and healing power for others and bring glory, honor and praise to you.

All these I pray in the name of Jesus, through the intercession of Mary and all the saints and angels.

Amen.

❤ THANK YOU LORD ❤

For all that You gave me in the past years. Thank You for the sunshiny days and for the sad and cloudy ones; for the calm afternoons and the dark nights; for the love and for all beautiful and sweet things; for the flowers and the stars. Thank You for health and sickness, for sorrows and joys. Thank You for all You that gave me and all that You asked of me.

Thank You Lord, for Your smiling face and friendly hand that kept me strong. Thank You for the loneliness, for the work, for the worries, for the fears, for the difficulties and the tears; and for everything that brought me closer to You. I saw Your loving hands and providence even in the negatives! Thank You, Lord.

Thank You for having kept me alive, for having given me shelter, warmth and nourishment. Thank you, Lord, for having given me friends and dear ones. Thank you for all that You created especially man and woman, whom You created in Your own image and likeness. Thank you for the innocent little children in the families and for good souls, who live according to Your will. Thank You Lord.

Thank You Lord for this year and all the 365 days of this year; I am ready to do whatever You wish, Lord, I am ready to follow You always in all circumstances, but I ask You for faith to see You in everything and everybody; hope, that I may not dismay; and charity to love You and others more each day; and to let You be loved among those around me. Give me patience and humility, detachment and generosity; give me Lord what is good for me which You alone know, for I do not know what is good for me I do not dare to ask.

That my heart may be alert, my ears be attentive, my hands and mind active, and that I always may be ready to do Your Holy Will with Your grace.

Lord! Pour out Your grace and blessings upon all my beloved ones and grant the entire world Your peace.
Thank You, Lord. Amen.❤✝

Prayer in times of sickness

Lord Jesus,
You suffered and died for us.
You understand suffering.
Teach me to understand my suffering as You do;
to bear it in union with You;
to offer it with You
to atone for my sins
and to bring your grace to souls in need.
Calm my fears; increase my trust.
May I gladly accept your holy will
and become more like You in trial.
If it be your will, restore me to health
so that I may work for your honor and glory
and the salvation of all.
Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, you have all power to heal and to deliver from harm. There is no trouble nor bondage you cannot overcome. Set me free to serve you joyfully and to love and serve others generously. May nothing hinder me from giving myself wholly to you and to your service.
