Act of Consecration to the Blessed Sacrament

 

My LORD Jesus Christ, Who because of Your love for men remain night and day in the Blessed Sacrament, full of pity and of love, awaiting, calling and welcoming all who come to visit You, I believe that You are present here on the altar. I adore You, and I thank You for all the graces You have bestowed on me, especially for having given me Yourself in this Sacrament, for having given me Your most holy Mother Mary to plead for me, and for having called me to visit You in this church.

I now salute Your most loving Heart, and that for three ends: first, in thanksgiving for this great gift; secondly, to make amends to You for all the outrages committed against You in this Sacrament by Your enemies; thirdly, I intend by this visit to adore You in all the places on earth in which You are present in the Blessed Sacrament and in which You are least honored and most abandoned.

My Jesus, I love You with my whole heart. I am very sorry for having so many times offended Your infinite goodness. With the help of Your grace, I purpose never to offend You again. And now, unworthy though I am, I consecrate myself to You without reserve. I renounce and give entirely to You my will, my affection, my desires and all that I possess. For the future, dispose of me and all I have as You please.

All I ask of You is Your holy love, final perseverance and that I may carry out Your will perfectly. I recommend to You the souls in Purgatory, especially those who had the greatest devotion to

the Blessed Sacrament and to the Blessed Virgin Mary. I also recommend to You all poor sinners.

Finally, my dear Saviour, I unite all my desires with the desires of Your most loving Heart; and I offer them, thus united, to the Eternal Father, and beseech Him, in Your name and for love of You, to accept and grant them.

Amen.

Why the Devil Hates the Blessed Virgin So Much (And Why You Should Love Her)

🙇

😡Satan hates the Blessed Virgin Mary. In fact, he has been doing everything in his power to discourage devotion to her and instils hatred for her for two millennia. Have you ever noticed that it is Marian dogmas and devotions that stir the strongest reactions in those who reject the Church? Even some good Catholics are embarrassed by devotion to our Lady, and they feel we should not be too extreme in our veneration of her.

😟Perhaps you, too, have wondered why the Church holds the Immaculate Virgin in such high regard. Perhaps you have wonder why God has chosen to use her in the work of redemption. Today, I’d like to take a look at why the devil hates the Blessed Mother so much, and why we should be her devoted knights.

💥She will crush your head

The scene is the garden of Eden. The characters are God, the serpent, Adam, and Eve. The devil is smirking in triumph. He has just deceived Eve, and through her, Adam. Oh, he is proud of himself. You can almost feel the demonic pride in destruction, for he has successfully marred God’s handiwork of creation, and dragged human beings—for whom God has a special love—into death and misery.

✨💫God has appeared on the scene to clean up the mess, declaring the tragic curse that has arisen from sin, but also to proclaim the protoevangelium, the first hint at the Gospel and the devil’s doom.

✨💫God starts by addressing Satan, telling him he is going to eat dirt for the rest of his days. Then he reveals something that makes Satan cringe in horror—his ultimate defeat will come at the hands of a woman.

🌟💫And I will establish a feud between thee and the woman, between thy offspring and hers; she is to crush thy head, while thou dost lie in ambush at her heels (Genesis 3:15, Knox)

🌟💫Now, scholars argue about whether or not the pronoun is masculine or feminine in the sentence, “She is to crush thy head”—that is, whether it refers to the Virgin Mary or Jesus Christ. But I’m going to let you in on a little secret: it doesn’t matter. You see, Jesus is going to crush Satan through Mary. She is the instrument Jesus is going to wield when he destroys his ancient enemy.

🌟💫With that in mind, it is just as legitimate to say, “he will crush your head” as it is to say, “she will crush your head.” It’s kind of like telling an armed assailant, “One more step and I will shoot you” and “One more step and my .44 magnum will blow you away.” They are both true statements.

🌟💫So why does being defeated by Mary pain the devil so much? Why does God want to use Mary to defeat Satan? I’ll explain.

🌟💫He has put down the mighty from their seat…”

😡The devil hates, I mean he loathes the fact that his ultimate defeat will come at the hands of a lowly handmaiden. In a way, his proud heart could handle being defeated by God himself because he’s almighty and omnipotent. But being crushed by a little Lady from Nazareth? The thought is absolutely humiliating. It drives him crazy. For if there is one thing the most proud creature in all of creation hates, it is being humiliated.

😡Satan finds his defeat by the Virgin Mary humiliating because she is a woman, and women are the weaker sex (1 Peter 3:7), and he despises weakness. He loves nothing more than to see women abused, degraded, and objectified. Not to mention that our Blessed Lady is a human, and Satan hates humans because we have bodies, and he is a pure spirit that thinks bodies are disgusting. But there’s another, more profound reason Satan hates being defeated by Mary: She is his replacement in heaven.

😡You see, Lucifer was originally God’s finest achievement. He was more beautiful, more powerful than all the other creatures that God has made. And as we all know, it went to his head. He was so gorgeous, so mighty that he really thought he could be better than God. The defining marks of Satan are pride and envy of the Almighty.

🌹And what are the defining characteristics of our Lady? First and foremost, she is supremely humble. In fact, she is the most humble creature that has ever existed. For every ounce of pride the devil has, Mary has twice as much humility. For every drop of hate-filled and bitter envy in Satan’s black heart, Mary’s heart is filled with twice as much praise, worship, and love. For every bit of warped and destructive depravity in the devil’s soul, Mary’s heart is filled with more purity and fruitfulness. And by grace, God has made her the most exquisite and most glorious creature in all the universe—the title the devil used to claim.

🌹In every way, the Immaculate is Satan’s polar opposite. In every way, she is his replacement, and he knows it. This Divine exchange of Mary for Satan is revealed in our Lady’s hymn of praise, the Magnificat. 

🌹❤️🌹My soul magnifies the Lord;

my spirit has found joy in God, who is my Saviour,

because he has looked graciously upon the lowliness of his handmaid.

Behold, from this day forward all generations will count me blessed;

because he who is mighty, he whose name is holy, has wrought for me his wonders.

He has mercy upon those who fear him, from generation to generation;

he has done valiantly with the strength of his arm,

driving the proud astray in the conceit of their hearts;

he has put down the mighty from their seat, and exalted the lowly;

he has filled the hungry with good things,

and sent the rich away empty-handed.

He has protected his servant Israel,

keeping his merciful design in remembrance,

according to the promise which he made to our forefathers,

Abraham and his posterity for evermore.

🌹❤️In the Magnificat, we see the role of Mary in salvation summarised beautifully:

❤️🌹Mary’s humility- “he has looked graciously on the lowliness of his handmaid”

❤️🌹God’s marvellous work of grace in her: “Because he who is mighty, he who name is holy, has wrought for me his wonders”

❤️🌹God’s casting out of Satan: “Driving the proud astray in the conceit of their hearts, he has put down the mighty from their seat”

❤️🌹His exalting of Mary in Satan’s place: “He has…exalted the lowly.”Worst of all for Satan, his replacement in heaven is none other than the mother of the Eternal Word, Jesus Christ, whose passion and death redeemed the very humanity he has worked so hard to destroy. Her Yes to God undid the disobedience of Eve, paving the way for the saving work of the New Adam. The very weakness of Eve that Satan so scorned was replaced by the humble obedience of Mary, an obedience to the will of God that has made her powerful beyond limits. 

This is the Divine plan for the defeat of his enemy. This is Satan’s humiliation and his doom.

😡💥Hasta la vista, Satan

In case you didn’t realise it, Satan hates you. His bitter envy inspires him to destroy God’s creation, to drag it down into the abyss of hell. He would love nothing more for you—image bearer of God—to join in him in the eternal flames of the lake of fire, for misery loves company.

📢But fear not. The ancient serpent is powerless against the Immaculate Virgin, for in God’s plan, she is the instrument that Jesus will use to humiliate and demolish him. Do you want to crush the head of the devil in your life? Do you want to make it safely through trials, temptations, and storms to our eternal Home? The answer is simple: Call on Mary. Love her, be her devoted servant. Be her knight, her defender, her apostle. Consecrate yourself to her totally and completely—for nothing that belongs to her will be lost. As St. John Damascene said so beautifully, “To be devoted to thee, O holy Virgin, is an arm of salvation which God gives to those whom He wishes to save.”

📢Satan is on a rampage, wreaking as much havoc as he possibly can—because he knows his time is running out. He is afraid and he is angry, for he knows that one day very soon, he will be crushed by the Woman who makes his heart quake, the woman who “looks forth like the dawn, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army with banners” (Song of Solomon 6:10).

🌹Prayer

🌹👑🌹Majestic Queen of Heaven and Mistress of the Angels, thou didst receive from God the power and commission to crush the head of Satan; wherefore we humbly beseech thee, send forth the legions of heaven, that, under thy command, they may seek out all evil spirits, engage them everywhere in battle, curb their insolence, and hurl them back into the pit of hell. “Who is like unto God?” O good and tender Mother, thou shalt ever be our hope and the object of our love. O Mother of God, send forth the holy Angels to defend me and drive far from me the cruel foe.

Happy Birthday Mother Mary ~ 8 September

September 8, Our Lady's birthday, the Universal Church celebrates the first dawning of redemption with the appearance in the world of the Savior's mother, Mary. The Blessed Virgin occupies a unique place in the history of salvation, and she has the highest mission ever commended to any creature. We rejoice that the Mother of God is our Mother, too. Let us often call upon the Blessed Virgin as "Cause of our joy",

Why Catholics honour Mary?

Catholics do not worship Mary but we do have enough sense to pay her great honor for saying "yes," and for carrying the Son of God in her womb and supplying His DNA. Not to mention the fact that she gave Him more strength than any other human being. If you truly love Jesus, honoring Mary is a natural part of that love.

Dispel the myth, know the facts, communicate the truth. Every Catholic should be somewhat offended when this lie gets perpetuated as if we don't know our God.

Mary was Immaculately Conceived and had to be by a preemptive act of Grace through Jesus Christ. She had to be a pure vessel to carry the Son of God. In the Scriptures Gabriel says "Hail full of Grace." She is puzzled by the greeting because it indicates that she is without sin.

Please keep in mind that the Church believes that her sinless state comes through Jesus, who existed from the beginning. It doesn't make Mary a god. You cant be a God-bearer with the stain of sin. This Dogma says more about the Glory of God than it does about Mary. The vessel that would be the gate by which Divinity became humanity, had to be a pure one.

She took on flesh, but no stain of sin. He was born of a virgin. Why is it such a large jump to believe that Mary was preserved from sin for this special role? How could God have His DNA supplied by a sinful person? Regardless, the point of this statement is to dispel the lie that we worship Mary.

An Archangel appeared to this woman and she gave birth to God as a virgin. Regardless, she is mega special and worthy of a great honor. If Jesus is Savior and I'm a part of his family, then Mary is my mother. I love her dearly.

Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary ~ 15 August 2016

All-powerful and ever-living God: 

You raised the sinless Virgin Mary, 

mother of your Son, body and soul, 

to the glory of heaven. 

May we see heaven as our final goal 

and come to share her glory.

This solemnity commemorates the Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of Christ her entry into heaven body and soul in glory. It marks the Blessed Virgin Mary death, the end of her earthly life and works.and enters eternity as the Queen of Heaven. It is the most important Marian feast in the Catholic Church and is a holy day obligation.

 

The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary give us an insight into our own relationship with God, and looks to eternity and gives us hope that we, too, will follow Our Lady when our life is ended, just as the Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus Christ of Saviour and Lord. The only difference is that Jesus arose from the tomd and ascended into Heaven by His own power, elsewhere the Blessed Virgin Mary was assumed into Heaven by the power of God and her Son Jesus Christ. 

“Finally the Immaculate Virgin, preserved free from all stain of original sin, when the course of her earthly life was finished, was taken up body and soul into heavenly glory, and exalted by the Lord as Queen over all things, so that she might be the more fully conformed to her Son, the Lord of lords and conqueror of sin and death.” (CCC, Paragraph 966)

Almighty ever-living God, who assumed the Immaculate Virgin Mary, the Mother of your Son, body and soul into heavenly glory, grant we pray, that, always attentive to the things that are above, we may merit to be sharers of her glory. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Mary remained with her about three months
and then returned to her home.

Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God ~ 01 January 2016

On New Year's Day, the octave day of Christmas, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God. It is a Holy Day of Obligation as it commemorates the divine motherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of our Lord and God Jesus Christ. As the Father from all eternity generates the Son in the love of the Holy Spirit, so Mary, in the flesh, generated the same eternal Word by the power of the Holy Spirit. Christ's Birth was made possible by Mary's fiat: "Be it done unto me according to Thy word.". Calling Mary “Mother of God” is the highest honour we can give to her.

On this day, we too remember our own mothers, living and deceased, and to implore the Blessed Virgin´s intercession for them. May the peace of the Lord remain within us, our families and communities and bring us the joy and happiness in the year to come.

Miracle Blessed Virgin Mary statue at Church of St.Thomas More, Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

Hail Mary, full of grace.

The Lord is with thee.

Faithful of the parish and parish priest Rev. Father Raymond Pereira noticed and claimed that the Blessed Virgin Mary statue has grown taller by three inches from it's original height since it was purchased from Vietnam recently. They also claimed that the Blessed Virgin Mary's lips was moving and she smile while they were singing the "Ave Maria", and at times, her eyes were moving, her eyes was filled with tears and she shed tears. The statue was original made from poly-resin (fiberglass) which was placed in the grotto and bless by Rev. Father Raymond Pereira a week ago on the 7 October 2015. No official statement can be made until further confirmation is received from officials of the Roman Catholic Church which includes from the Diocese and Vatican level. Many faithful have been flocking to the Church of St.Thomas More, Subang Jaya to witness the miraculous statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary since the news were made known through media such as Facebook, Watsapp and the newspapers.

Graces and promises attached to the practice of the devotion in honour of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sorrowing:

According to St. Alphonsus de Liguori (The Glories of Mary) it was revealed to Saint Elizabeth that at the request of Our Lady, Our Lord promised four principal graces to those devoted to Her Sorrows:

1. That those who before death invoke the divine Mother in the name of Her Sorrows will obtain true repentance of all their sins;

2. That He will protect all who have this devotion in their tribulations, and will protect them especially at the hour of death;

3. That He will impress on their minds the remembrance of His Passion;

4. That He will place such devout servants in Mother Mary’s hands to do with them as She wishes and to obtain for them all the graces She desires.

In addition to these four graces there are also seven promises attached to the practice of daily praying seven Hail Mary’s while meditating on Our Lady’s Tears and Sorrows. These seven promises were revealed to St. Bridget of Sweden:

1.“I will grant peace to their families.”

2. “They will be enlightened about the divine Mysteries.”

3. “I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work.”

4. “I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of My divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.”

5.“I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.”

6. “I will visibly help them at the moment of their death — they will see the face of their Mother.”

7. “I have obtained this grace from My divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to My tears and sorrows will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness, since all their sins will be forgiven and My Son will be their eternal consolation and joy.”

may love sealed by the Sacrament ever reign between spouses, 

may children walk on the paths of goodness and true freedom, 

may the elderly feel surrounded by attention and affection. 

Inspire, Mary, in so many young hearts, 

generous replies to the "call for the mission", 

a subject on which the diocese has 

been reflecting over the years. 

Thanks to an intense pastoral program for vocations, 

may Rome be enriched by new young forces, 

dedicated with enthusiasm to proclaiming the Gospel 

in the city and in the world.

3. Blessed Virgin, Queen of Apostles! 

Assist those who through study 

and prayer are preparing to labor 

on the many frontiers of the new evangelization. 

Today I entrust to you, in a special way, 

the community of the Pontifical Urban College, 

whose historic headquarters are located in front of this pillar. 

May this wonderful institution founded 375 years ago 

by Pope Urban VIII for the formation of missionaries, 

be able to continue effectively its ecclesial service. 

May those it gathers, seminarians and priests, 

men and women religious and laity, 

be ready to put their energies at the disposition 

of Christ in service of the Gospel to the far corners of the globe.

4. "Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us!" 

Pray, O Mother, for all of us. 

Pray for humanity for those who suffers poverty and injustice, 

violence and hatred, terror and war. 

Help us to contemplate with the rosary 

the mysteries of Him who "is our peace", 

so that we will all feel involved 

in a persevering dedication of service to peace. 

Look with special attention 

upon the land in which you gave birth to Jesus, 

a land that you loved together with Him, 

and that is still so sorely tried today. 

Pray for us, Mother of hope! 

"Give us days of peace, watch over our way. 

Let us see your Son as we rejoice in heaven". Amen!

The Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Memorial)

Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Christ, and Christ is God, she is proclaim Queen of Heaven  and is also the fifth Glorious Mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary. This memorial the Blessed Virgin Mary's coronation in heaven is placed within an octave, that is, eight days after celebrating Mary's Assumption into Heaven.

Vatican II, sanctioning a tradition going back to the fourth century, reaffirmed authoritatively the doctrine of Mary's regality: "when her earthly life was over," she was "exalted by the Lord as Queen over all things, that she might be the more fully conformed to her Son." (Lumen Gentium 59) 

Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, reigns with a mother's solicitude over the entire world, just as she is crowned in heavenly blessedness with the glory of a Queen. The Blessed Virgin Mary, having done all that was required of her on this earth now reigns in Heaven, the jewel of the New Jerusalem, honoured by all for her great love of the Saviour and the sacrifice she made for our salvation.

Let us approach with greater trust the throne of grace and mercy of our Queen and Mother, and beg for strength in adversity, light in darkness, consolation in sorrow; above all let them strive to free ourselves from the slavery of sin and offer an unceasing homage, filled with filial loyalty, to our beloved Queenly Mother.

Let us honour Mary and present to her the intentions of the Holy Father as we reflect on part of Pope Pius XII’s 1954 “Ad Coeli Reginam”.

Pope Pius IX, wrote in his Bull Ineflabilis Deus: "More than all the angels and all the saints has God ineffable freely endowed Mary with the fullness of the heavenly gifts that abound in the divine treasury; and she, preserving herself ever immaculately clean from the slightest taint of sin, attained a fullness of innocence and holiness so great as to be unthinkable apart from God Himself, a fullness that no one other than God will ever possess."

Spurred on by piety and faith, may we glory in being subject to the rule of the Virgin Mother of God; she bears the royal sceptre in her hand, while her heart is ever aflame with motherlove.

1	But there will be no gloom for her that was in anguish. In the former time he brought into contempt the land of Zeb'ulun and the land of Naph'tali, but in the latter time he will make glorious the way of the sea, the land beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations.
