Dear God, open a door for my message, so that I may proclaim the mystery of Christ. I pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Colossians 4:3-4

Advent a time to prepare, reflect and anticipate for the coming of Christ our Saviour, Lord and King

Reflecting Christ’s presence in our lives, as we think about His being born in a manger in Bethlehem to redeem us from our sins so that we may share Eternal Life with Him in Heaven!

Mary and Joseph believed and were able to feel the joy of holding baby Jesus in their arms. The shepherds and wise men believed the angles and the signs and experienced the great gladness of worshipping their Messiah. Those who knew him and recognised him were overjoyed at the coming of Jesus.

The Second Coming reminds us of the timelessness of God’s love, and of the importance of showing others His love in our thoughts, words, and actions. Christ’s love is with us always and He’s counting on us to share it with others!

Prepare for the coming of the Lord

In the 4 weeks of Advent, we Christians are invited to prepare, get ready by building up the hope within our hearts, making a place for our Lord Jesus Christ in our lives and our homes in anticipation of His coming. We must repent for our sin, renounce our wrong choices, and make a ready of ourselves so that Jesus Christ can come and be us and within the His Body the Church.the season of Advent call us to a living faith, repentance, and a renewed relationship with the Lord.
Advent in Latin is, "ad-venio" or "adventus", which both signify a coming. We know that there are three comings (the 3 advents) of the Lord. In His first coming our Lord came in our flesh and our weakness, in this middle coming (which is invisible or no seen) He comes in Spirit and in power and in the final coming he will be seen in glory and in majesty.

As we prepare for the coming of the Lord
We recall our faults and beg his mercy
Lord, Have Mercy  (3X)
Christ, Have Mercy (3X)
Lord, Have Mercy (3X)

First Sunday of Advent ~ we prepare the birth of Jesus, the King of Kings, our Savoiur

The Advent wreath is lit, marking the coming of the birth of our Saviour. Prepare the way of the Lord by committing to a quiet time of reflection throughout Advent.

ADVENT
The Coming of the Lord
"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your king is coming to you;
He is just and endowed with salvation,
Humble, and mounted on a donkey,
Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim
And the horse from Jerusalem;
And the bow of war will be cut off.
And He will speak peace to the nations;
And His dominion will be from sea to sea,
And from the River to the ends of the earth."
Ze 9:9-10

Blessed Saviour, Mary and Joseph gave their all and followed the divine plan as foretold by the angel. What courage! What obedience! I pray the courage and humility in this Christmas season to seek and follow God’s divine plan for my life.
