The Chaplet of St. Michael (Honour St.Michael, takes only 10 minutes)

The Chaplet of St. Michael is a wonderful way to honor this great Archangel along with the other nine Choirs of Angels. What do we mean by Choirs? It seems that God has created various orders of Angels. Sacred Scripture distinguishes nine such groupings: Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones, Dominations, Powers, Virtues, Principalities, Archangels and Angels (Isa. 6:2; Gen. 3:24; Col. 1:16; Eph. 1:21; Rom. 8:38). There may be more groupings but these are the only ones that have been revealed to us. The Seraphim is believed to be the highest Choir, the most intimately united to God, while the Angelic Choir is the lowest.
The history of this Chaplet goes back to a devout Servant of God, Antonia d'Astonac, who had a vision of St. Michael. He told Antonia to honour him by nine salutations to the nine Choirs of Angels. St. Michael promised that whoever would practice this devotion in his honour would have, when approaching Holy Communion, an escort of nine angels chosen from each of the nine Choirs. In addition, for those who would recite the Chaplet daily, he promised his continual assistance and that of all the holy angels during life, and after death deliverance from purgatory for themselves and their relations.

The Chaplet of St. Michael
O God, come to my assistance. O Lord, make haste to help me. Glory be to the Father, ....
.
[Say one Our Father and three Hail Mary's after each of the following nine salutations in honour of the nine Choirs of Angels]
1. By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Seraphim may the Lord make us worthy to burn with the fire of perfect charity.
Amen.
2. By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Cherubim may the Lord grant us the grace to leave the ways of sin and run in the paths of Christian perfection.
Amen.
3. By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Thrones may the Lord infuse into our hearts a true and sincere spirit of humility.
Amen.
4. By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Dominations may the Lord give us grace to govern our senses and overcome any unruly passions.
Amen.
5. By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Virtues may the Lord preserve us from evil and falling into temptation. Amen.
6. By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Powers may the Lord protect our souls against the snares and temptations of the devil.
Amen.
7. By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Principalities may God fill our souls with a true spirit of obedience. Amen.
8. By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Archangels may the Lord give us perseverance in faith and in all good works in order that we may attain the glory of Heaven.
Amen.
9. By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Angels may the Lord grant us to be protected by them in this mortal life and conducted in the life to come to Heaven.
Amen.

Say one Our Father in honour of each of the following leading Angels: St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael and our Guardian Angel.

Concluding prayers:
O glorious prince St. Michael, chief and commander of the heavenly hosts, guardian of souls, vanquisher of rebel spirits, servant in the house of the Divine King and our admirable conductor, you who shine with excellence and superhuman virtue deliver us from all evil, who turn to you with confidence and enable us by your gracious protection to serve God more and more faithfully every day.
Pray for us, O glorious St. Michael, Prince of the Church of Jesus Christ, that we may be made worthy of His promises.
Almighty and Everlasting God, Who, by a prodigy of goodness and a merciful desire for the salvation of all men, has appointed the most glorious Archangel St. Michael Prince of Your Church, make us worthy, we ask You, to be delivered from all our enemies, that none of them may harass us at the hour of death, but that we may be conducted by him into Your Presence. This we ask through the merits of
Jesus Christ Our Lord.
Amen.

Prayer for good weather

St. Medard, Patron Saint Against Bad Weather. St. Medard was born around 456 in Salency (near Noyon), France. He was one of the most honored bishops of his time. St. Medard died of an illness in 545 at the age of 89. Legend says that when he was a child, St. Medard was once sheltered from the rain by a hovering eagle.

Let us turn to Saint Medard and ask for his intercession.

Jesus My Lord, Saint Medard served as a bishop during very difficult times, and his long life of spiritual leadership created a tremendous impression on the people. Because of his patronage against bad weather, I ask him to intercede for me during the storms of my life as well as the storms in nature. Protect me and my home. And Lord, help the victims of hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and other natural disasters. Send in more helpers and multiply the supplies that are needed for their aid. You calmed the storm on the Sea of Galilee; deliver us from the storms that are raging around us now. Saint Medard, pray for us. Amen.

Saint Helen & A Prayer for Intercession

St. Helen, also known as St. Helena (d. 327 A.D.), was a woman of humble means from Asia Minor. She married the future Roman Emperor Constantius Chlorus, and their son Constantine was born in c. 272. Constantius divorced Helen in c. 293 to marry Emperor Maximian’s daughter for the sake of political gain. When her son Constantine became the Roman Emperor, St. Helen was given the imperial title “Augusta” and was treated like royalty. After Constantine legalized Christianity across the Roman Empire, St. Helen, a Christian convert, went to the Holy Land in search of the actual cross on which Christ was crucified, despite being in her 80’s. Helen questioned local Christians and Jews and learned that the cross was buried under the Temple of Venus. Helen had the temple demolished and excavated. There she discovered the Holy Sepulcher, three crosses, the board with Pilate’s inscription, and the nails which pierced Jesus’ Sacred Body. In order to determine which cross was the Lord’s, the Bishop of Jerusalem touched them to a corpse, causing the man to come back to life. A second miraculous healing of a sick woman confirmed the discovery of the True Cross. Christians flocked to Jerusalem to venerate the Holy Cross. St. Helen then visited all the holy places of Jesus’ life and built many churches over their locations, including at Bethlehem, the Mount of Olives, and the Garden of Gethsemane. St. Helen is the patron of divorced people, empresses, difficult marriages, converts, and archaeologists. Her feast day is 18 August.

A Prayer to St. Helena, for Intercession

Holy and blessed Saint Helena,
with the anguish and devotion
with which you sought the Cross of Christ,
I plead that you give me God's grace
to suffer in patience the labors of this life,
so that through them
and through your intercession and protection,
I will be able to seek and carry the Cross,
which God has placed upon me,
so that I can serve Him in this life
and enjoy His Glory ever after.
Amen.

Rosary ~ do not neglect it, if you are in need of the intercession and prayer by Mother Mary

When we recite the Rosary to Our Blessed Virgin Mary, reflect on the sacred mysteries (Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mystery) of our salvation and the ministry life of Jesus (Luminous Mystery) and say each Our Father and Hail Mary with due reverence, praying for our particular intentions, all the while trying to create vivid mental images of Christ and Our Lady in our mind's eye. The Rosary is the prayer of the Gospels and if you make a habit of praying it everyday you will internalize the Gospels themselves.

Our Blessed Virgin Mary's intercessory power is strong before the throne of God because Jesus would deny His Mother nothing. And like any good mother, Our Blessed Virgin Mary wants to help her dear children on earth. Mary is the Mother of God and our Mother too.
"To this heavenly mother, we have offered the flowers of the month of May; to her we would also have fruit-bearing October dedicated with a particularly tender devotion. It is fitting that both parts of the year should be consecrated to her…"
~ Pope Leo XIII, Augustissimae Virginis, 12 Sept, 1897 ~

“You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.”
~ Our Lady to Blessed Alan de la Roche ~

“If families give Our Lady fifteen minutes a day by reciting the Rosary, I assure them that their homes will become, by God’s grace, peaceful places."
~ Father Patrick Peyton ~

"There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot solve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary. With the Holy Rosary we will save ourselves. We will sanctify ourselves. We will console Our Lord and obtain the salvation of many souls."
~ St. Lucia of Fatima ~

Prayer for the intercession of Pope John Paul II

O Holy Trinity,
we thank you for having given to the Church
Pope John Paul II,
and for having made him shine
with your Fatherly tenderness,
the glory of the Cross of Christ
and the splendor of the Spirit of love

He, trusting completely in Your infinite mercy
and in the maternal intercession of Mary, has shown himself
in the likeness of Jesus the Good Shepherd
and has pointed out to us holiness
as the path to reach eternal communion with You.

Grant us, through his intercession,
according to your will, the grace that we implore,
as he has been canonized to join You among Your saints.
Amen.

I offer myself to You, give me the means to do Your work, and spread Your Love. I have only so much to give, if only I were allowed the chance. Infant Jesus show me Your goodness, and deliver me from my difficulties. Infant Jesus, Mighty and Sweet Child, I offer You all Glory, Praise and Thanksgiving belongs to You. Divine Child Jesus, Infant Jesus, heal me by Your will, extend Your holy hand and by Your power take away all my worries and bestow Your peace upon me today that I may have eternal joy with You, Mary, Your Most Holy mother and St. Joseph, Your loving foster father. Saint Pio's Intercession Prayer

Gracious God, You generously blessed Your servant, Padre Pio, with the gifts of the Spirit. You marked his body with the five wounds of Christ Crucified, as a powerful witness to the saving Passion and Death of Your Son, and as a stirring inspiration to many people of Your infinite mercy, forgiveness and love.
In the confessional, Padre Pio labored endlessly for the salvation of souls. Through his prayerful intercession, many who suffered were healed of sickness and disease. Endowed with the gift of discernment, he could read people's hearts. From the blood of his wounds came a perfumed fragrance, a special sign of Your Holy Presence. With dignity and intense devotion, he celebrated daily Mass, inviting countless men and women to a greater union with Jesus Christ, in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.
Through the intercession of Saint Pio, I confidently beseech You to grant me the grace of (here state your petition). Help me to imitate his example of prayerful holiness and compassion, so that I, too, may faithfully follow the Risen Lord, and one day rejoice in the Kingdom, where You live and reign forever and ever.
AMEN.
Prayer Source: Saint Pio of Pietrelcina by Capuchin Franciscan Friars, Capuchin Franciscan Friars, 2003

Padre Pio was born as Francesco Forgione on 25 May, 1887, in Pietrelcina, Italy, to a  peasant family. At 15 he joined the Capuchin Franciscan Friars, and in 1910 was ordained as a priest. Assigned to the Friary in San Giovanni Rotondo in central Italy, on September 1916 where he lived for the rest of his life.

After celebrating morning Mass On 20 September, 1918, after celebration of morning mass, during his prayers of thanksgiving before the Crucifix, Padre Pio received the "Stigmata". His hands, feet and side were pierced with the nail marks and the lance wound of the Crucified Christ. Doctors estimated he lost a cup of blood bleeding every day in the 50 years. His five wounds were deep, bleeding and painful, but completley free of inflammation and swelling.
Millions of people attended his Masses. He received letters from believers all over the world who asked for his saintly counsel in their times of distress and mjisfortune. Many were attracted to his confessional, where he celebrated the Sacrament of Penance for as many as 16 hours a day. People waited as long as two weeks to have him hear their confession, for they perceived in Padre Pio the true heart and soul of the Gospels, expressed in a simple and uncomplicated manner. His whole life was marked by long hours of prayer, continual sacrifice, and strict austerity. He had a very deep union with God, a burning love for the Holy Eucharist, and a fervent devotion to Our Blessed Mother.
Padre Pio was called to the heavenly kingdom on 23 September, 1968 and canonized a Saint by Pope John Paul II on 16 June, 2002.
