January 7: On this day in 1844, Bernadette Soubirous was born in Lourdes, France. Our Lady appeared to her in 1858, telling her, "I am the Immaculate Conception." When dying in 1879, Bernadette said, "Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for me, a poor sinner." St. Bernadette's body is in-corrupt to this day (see photo) and can be seen by the public at the convent in Nevers, France.
Happy Birthday, Saint Bernadette!
