Come, Ye Sinners, Poor and Needy
Weak and wounded, sick and sore;
Jesus ready stands to save you,
Full of pity, love and power.
@ @ @ @ @ @
Come to Jesus for salvation,
Hope is found in Him alone
By His death and resurrection,
loving kindness He has shown
By His blood we have redemption,
God has saved us through His Son
Now we stand in Him forgiven,
Death is dead and Love has won
Lord we pray that you might teach us,
of the glory of your ways
By Your Spirit, guide and train us,
to be like You day by day
Salt and Light where you have placed us,
pointing others to the King
Our Protector, God is for us.
Sovereign over everything
Let this Word of love and mercy,
give us courage to proclaim
Words of faith and transformation,
Hope is found in Jesus' name
Reaching out to every nation,
let the church, in unity
Preach the gospel of salvation,
Grace to sinners, full and free

Congratulations on your 1000th blog post !
ReplyDeleteYour poem above 'caught my attention'. It reminded me VERY much of the following "poem/verse" that a friend on mine received that I just "had" to post on my blog...
(I titled it "The Lords Heart" and "rings" with John 3:16 overtones......"all over it" -doesn't it?)

Hope it BLESSES you !

ReplyDeleteWhen thinking about salvation, it’s helpful to think about what we are saved from, what we are saved to, and who we are saved by. It’s also beneficial to think about our salvation as a past, present, and future.
ReplyDeleteI thank God for always being by my side. Also, thank you so much for the graceful thoughts and godspeed.
Ultimate Love of God on Lisare's Book has also provided beautiful thoughts about God's salvation. You may also visit her books; thank you.
